SUMBAWA - Welcoming the commemoration of the Indonesian Armed Forces Day on December 15, Sumbawa Military District in collaboration with the Manambai Abdul Kadir Hospital and PT Smile Trans held a social service for cleft lip surgery, Friday (13/12) at Manambai Abdul Kadir Hospital of the Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara.

Sumbawa Military District Commander, Liutenant Colonel Inf Samsul Huda and the people who participated in Sumbawa Hospital.

Wira Bhakti/162 Military Resort Commander, Colonel Czi Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, in his remarks read by Sumbawa Military Commander Lieutenant Colonel Inf Samsul Huda, said that TNI and the people could not be separated.

"Because the TNI was born, lived and developed in the midst of the people. So that it was right to say that the people were the biological mothers of the TNI," he said.

According to him, the Social Service activity is an implementation of the service of the Army Soldiers to the people, especially the people of NTB to help ease the burden on the community, especially residents who need this service.

"The social services for cleft lip surgery, in addition to commemorating the 74th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Indonesian Army in 2019, also to help people who have congenital defects since birth who have difficulty speaking because of cleft lip," Colonel Rizal said.

The social service is expected to be able to improve and strengthen the unity of the TNI with the people, especially in the NTB region as well as participate in supporting the success of the Regional Government's program in realizing a healthy, prosperous, intelligent and quality society towards a NTB Gemilang.
